Face Everything and Rise - The only acronym we should embrace when living with a chronic condition

Where did FEAR originate from?

At the age of 26, and after a four-month Hospital admission in 2015, I was discharged with a Hickman Line, as well as the fear of the unknown. I had no idea how life would be on Home Parenteral Nutrition (HPN).

I frantically searched the internet for support to find some comfort in the world I was about to enter, but after being unsuccessful, I decided to begin my own Facebook page to help those in a similar position as me. From that day onward, my aim has always been the same; to offer practical, real-life and realistic support to those living with the challenges of being artificially fed.

Over the years, I have blogged the highs and lows of my life on HPN, and have organically grown a network of followers from across the globe, whom I now proudly support. Being a Special Needs Teacher, I have also had the honour of supporting numerous Children on their ‘artificial nutrition journey’ and have been a regular contact for those families to turn to.

We, at Face Everything And Rise, truly believe that regardless of the challenges we face on artificial nutrition, everything can be possible!... It’s just a matter of finding a safe way to do so.
